One Week Later...

 

Madoya one week later. This is the toilet block/meeting room for the Madoya-Huruma New Believers Class. This building was a Community Health Evangelism project (CHE). Meaning the community themselves determined their need for this and developed the idea and some of the funds from within the community itself. This gives the community ownership of the facility and dignity in the process. It gives the community a sense of value and accomplishment - foundational stones to build hope upon.

It seems to me to be a perfect example of CHE - not only does it better the life of the community members through improved hygiene and sanitation - it is also the home of the New Believers Class where about 20 adults and 20 children gathered this week to study, sing and pray as they discover the Hope of forgivness and God's Love for the them.
